Michael B. Jordan makes his directorial debut with Creed III
Creed III is an American sports drama film produced by MGM. The first Creed film was directed by Ryan Coogler (Black Panther), and the second by Steven Caple Jr. The third installment sees lead actor Michael B. Jordan take a seat behind the camera in his directorial debut. Jordan once again takes the lead role as Adonis Creed in the film. Tessa Thompson (Thor: Ragnarok) returns as Adonis’s now-wife Bianca, along with Sherwin David "Wood" Harris (The Wire) as Adonis’s friend and mentor “Little Duke”, and Phylicia Rashad (Black Box) as Mary Anne Creed, Adonis’s adoptive mother. Donnie’s old friend-turned-nemesis, Damian “Dame” Anderson, is played by Jonathan Majors (Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania).
Creed III is the third installment in the Creed series, a spin-off from the Rocky franchise starring Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa. The films follow the boxing career of Adonis “Donnie” Creed, the son of legendary boxer Apollo Creed, as he battles opponents in and out of the ring. The first two films brought in Stallone as Donnie’s trainer, and Creed III marks the first film in the series in which Rocky himself will not appear.
